Introducing Seasons in Business: A podcast for creative business owners

If you’ve been following my Notes from the Studio newsletter or socials, you’ll know that I’ve been quietly working on something exciting behind the scenes. Yes, back in spring, I had the crazy idea to start a podcast, and I was so excited I didn’t let my inner voice talk me out of it. Who am I, and how did this happen?!

After months of planning, recording, and editing (which has been quite a learning curve), it launches today — fittingly on International Coffee Day, the perfect excuse to make yourself something warm and cosy and have a listen! Coincidence? Definitely not.

I’m really excited to share Seasons in Business with you today and hear what you think!

Wondering who the podcast is for?

Seasons in Business is a podcast for creative business owners who want to build something thoughtful and sustainable, at a pace that actually feels good.

Over the years I’ve grown tired of seeing so much of the small business advice out there pushing speed, growth, and hustle. I’m much more tortoise than hare, so I naturally lean towards a steadier, intuitive approach: noticing the ebb and flow of business, life, and nature, and making thoughtful choices along the way.

So I’ve created this space — to explore the real stories, reflections, and experiences behind running something meaningful without burning out.

Whether you’re starting something new, balancing creativity with the practical side of running a business, or just wondering how to find more flow in your work, you’ll find ideas, stories, and gentle prompts to explore in each episode.

Wherever you find yourself in your business journey, if you’re craving a slower, more spacious way to grow, and need a little gentle encouragement along the way, you’re in the right place.

Curious about what to expect?

My hope is that this becomes a place to talk about running a business at a gentler pace — one that honours growth and rest. So you can expect honest conversations about running a creative business, along with real stories and insights to guide you through the ups, downs, and everything in between.

There’ll be solo episodes, where I share reflections from my own creative practice and lessons I’ve learned over the years, digging into questions and ideas I’ve been exploring for some time.

And there’ll be guest episodes, featuring lovely creatives and business owners, where we discuss everything from building a brand and navigating burnout to content creation and finding community.

Listen, subscribe, and share!

Episodes 1 and 2 launch today, and future episodes will drop every other Wednesday. And at 15-30 minutes long they’re the perfect length for a cosy tea break.
