Handcrafted wedding stationery with plenty of personality

We can dive into the details, from tactile handmade papers and pillowy soft debossing, to metallic foil accents and hand-tied silk ribbons. Your stationery, like your wedding, should feel unashamedly you.

My bespoke service is all about you and I’m here to guide you through the whole process. There’s plenty of time to make decisions, review designs, and share your feedback, and you can relax knowing that your stationery is in safe hands.

Ordering your wedding stationery

It’s never too early to get started

If you’ve set the date and booked your venue it’s definitely time to be talking to your stationer (and I hope that’ll be me!).

The main things to bear in mind when ordering are allowing enough time for the design process (12-16 weeks for your invitation suite, and 6-8 weeks for your on the day stationery), and enough time for your guests to receive and respond to their invitations.

There isn’t a right or wrong time to order your stationery, and it’s never too early, but you can use the following as a general guide:

Your save the dates – Order 10-12 months before your wedding
Essential for destination weddings or if guests need to travel.

Your main invitation suite – Order 8-10 months before your wedding
All of the important details (the who, where, and when).

Your on the day stationery – Order 8 weeks before your wedding
And don’t forget your thank you cards!

My bespoke service is tailored to you as a couple, so to give you my full attention I only take on a limited number of projects each year. If your heart is set on bespoke wedding stationery it’s never too early to reach out and secure your space in my calendar.

The design and print process

Creating your bespoke wedding stationery

Creating your bespoke stationery is a collaboration so, from our very first chat to the moment you hold your finished prints in your hands, I'm here to guide you through the process and bring your ideas to life.

  • We’ll kick things off with a call, so we can chat all about your stationery and the ideas you have swirling around in your heads. This is a great time to share any inspiration you’ve gathered so mood boards and images are more than welcome. From colour palettes to typography, and tiny details to overall aesthetics, we’ll chat about how we can translate it all into your own unique stationery. This is also a chance to get to know me and how I work, so I'll walk you through the creative process and you can ask as many questions as you like.

  • After our chat I'll put together a detailed quote for your stationery. Prices for individual elements will be listed separately, so you can see what works best for you and your budget. If you're happy with the quote, you’ll receive an invoice for your bespoke design fee and your contract. As soon as I receive your payment and contract your place in my calendar is secure.

  • Time for the fun part to begin! We’ll work together to create mood boards, refining the overall aesthetic so we have a direction to move forward. I’ll then create your initial design concepts, with suggestions for colours, fonts, materials and print techniques. Your input is key, so at this point we’ll chat through the concepts and see which one feels right.

  • Once we've nailed down your concept, it's time to bring your full stationery suite to life. If you’ve opted for save the dates, we’ll start with those; otherwise, we’ll dive into your invitation suite. This stage is all about the details, so there’s lots of time for you to review digital design proofs and share your feedback. I want you to love your stationery so we’ll keep refining until everything is looking perfect. The design process wraps up with a final artwork proof, and when you’ve approved that it’s time to print.

  • Because your stationery is printed in my Derbyshire studio, I can tailor every detail to perfection. Your paper will be trimmed, your inks mixed, and each piece of stationery will be printed one piece at a time, with the help of my antique print press and vintage foil press. When the ink is dry your invitation suites are assembled ready for you to post.

  • Once I've made sure everything looks perfect, your stationery is carefully packaged so it arrives safely. You’ll soon be holding your wedding stationery in your hands, ready to share with your guests!

At this point we’ll also schedule a start date for your on-the-day stationery, so we can do this all over again, closer to your wedding day!

YOUR STATIONERY BUDGET

Bespoke stationery pricing

Like any bespoke service, creating your wedding stationery is a meticulous process, and the final cost will depend on the size of your wedding, the complexity of the designs, printing techniques, and materials used.

As a guide, if you’re looking for a full suite of stationery, with save the dates, invitation suite, and on the day stationery, expect to invest around £3000.

I’m happy to chat through pricing in more detail during your consultation, and put together a detailed quote afterwards.

Flat rate design fees

While the printing cost will vary, your bespoke wedding stationery pricing will include my bespoke design fees. These are flat rate costs and include the creation of the overall design concept, and design revisions.

Invitation suite - Design fee £500

This includes the design of your save the date, invitation and any additional inserts (rsvp card, details card, map).

Frequently asked questions

Bespoke wedding stationery

I do update my FAQs but if you have a question that I haven’t answered, let me know.

Head over to the contact page to book a consultation or drop me an email.

  • Creating bespoke stationery is a collaborative process where we work together to create one-of-a-kind designs, so if you have a clear creative vision, and love the little details, it’s definitely for you.

  • Ideally you’ll order your invitations 8-10 months before your wedding, or 12+ months before if you’re not sending save the dates. This allows time for designing and printing, and time for your guests to receive and respond to their invitations.

  • Creating a bespoke invitation suite typically takes 12-16 weeks, from initial consultation to holding your stationery in your hands.

  • The options are endless with bespoke stationery so it’s impossible to create a fixed price list. While print prices vary depending on the designs we create, the quantity you need, and for the print methods used, I have flat rate fees for the design of your stationery: £500 for your invitation suite, and £500 for your on-the-day pieces. For a detailed quote I recommend booking a free consultation.

  • At each stage of the design process you’ll receive digital proofs to review and your feedback is welcome. You’ll also receive an artwork proof for final approval before we start printing, so you’re confident that everything is perfect.

  • You won’t receive printed proofs because of the time and costs involved with letterpress and foil printing. But you will receive digital proofs throughout the process.

  • Yes, of course. Your main envelopes can be digitally printed with guest and/or return addresses, and your RSVP envelopes printed with return addresses. For an extra luxe finish your guest addresses can be hand lettered.

  • Yes, all bespoke wedding stationery suites are shipped to you assembled ready for you to post (unless you’d prefer to assemble it yourself!).

  • I don’t have bespoke samples available at the moment, but if you’d like to get a feel for the paper and print finishes that I offer, you can order a sample suite from the House Collection.

  • The best way to start is to send an enquiry or book a free consultation. From there I’ll create a quote and if you’re happy to go ahead a deposit secures your place in my schedule.
